BREAKING: The New York Jets acquired superstar WR Davante Adams in exchange for a conditional 2025 3rd round pick. This comes right after the Jets heartbreaking loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday night football, a very winnable game that was plagued by flags.
Adams was Aaron Rodgers’ former teammate in Green Bay, who put up 7,590 receiving yards, 69 touchdowns with Rodgers, is sitting at 96 career touchdowns. Adams is currently signed to a 5-year, $140M deal he signed with the Raiders, it is reported by Ian Rapport that the Jets and Adams have agreed to a contract restructure of his 2024 contract, and they will have to adjust his 2025 and 26’ contracts. Adams’ restructured deal to $3.21 million for the 2024 season (Adam Schefter). This should help the Jets try and give Edge rusher Hasson Reddick a new contract so he can end his holdout and play for the New York Jets.

Adams will more than likely be the number 1 receiver, making Garrett the two, putting him in the slot where he is best suited. You also have Lazard who may have the most drops in the NFL, he also has the most touchdowns and last night, put up 100 yards. Additionally, you have Mike Williams at your disposal, and it is also reported by several sources that the Jets are looking to TRADE Williams before the trade deadline. This shouldn’t come to a shock, considering in back-to-back games, the game ending INT was because he didn’t run the correct route. There also had to be an odd man out, and he makes the most sense, being on an expiring contract.
Adams will wear #17, Malachi Corley will switch to #14. Adams will be a full participant at practice, and will most likely play Sunday against the Steelers on Sunday Night Football after missing a handful of games due to a hamstring injury.
