Flyers Attempting a Blockbuster
Reportedly the Flyers are looking to move up from #12 all the way up to #4 in a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Jackets are looking for #12 overall, a young roster player, and a 2025 first round pick. The Flyers can offer that. #12 overall, a roster player like Joel Farebee or Tyson Forester, along with their 2025 First Rounder via Colorado. If they strike a deal here, they’re likely targeting Ivan Demidov or Cayden Lindstrom.

Florida looking to extend Verhaeghe
Carter Verhaeghe is eligible for an extension on July 1, and the Panthers likely will not waste any time. They will reportedly be inking him to a 6-year extension anywhere around $8-8.5 million AAV. Florida also has Aaron Ekblad on the trade block, and they are obviously very interested in resigning pending UFA Sam Reinhart.

Predators Ink Juuse Saros
The Predators ahead of the draft are inking goaltender Juuse Saros to a 8 year extension holding a $7.74 Million AAV. A surprising move to say the least with top goaltending prospect Yaroslav Askarov waiting in the wings who will play in the AHL, but interested teams will be interested to see how Askarov will react to that, as he likely wants to start in the NHL.

Capitals make another Trade
The Washington Capitals after acquiring Pierre-Luc Dubois they traded a 2025 2nd round pick to the Calgary Flames in exchange for Andrew Mangiapane. Mangiapane struggled last year for Calgary, and in a contract year, he could be due for a positive regression for the Capitals.

Golden Knights Primary Marner suitor
The Vegas Golden Knights have emerged as the primary suitor for Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner. A package including defenseman Shea Theodore, goaltender Logan Thompson, and draft capital, though no deal has been agreed to at this point.

Rutger McGroarty Update
The Boston Bruins reportedly have emerged as a primary suitor for Jets prospect Rutger McGroarty. The Bruins without question need center depth, and they could use the first rounder they got for Linus Ullmark to acquire him. The Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets, and New York Islanders are also teams that have reportedly checked in.

Bruins Likely to sign Lindholm
The Boston Bruins have shown interest in Canucks center Elias Lindholm since before the trade deadline, and they are expected to sign him to a very lucrative contract when the market opens on July 1.

Islanders possibly closing in on Ehlers
It was reported that the Winnipeg Jets are seeking a first round pick and a young NHL forward in exchange for Nikolaj Ehlers, who would prefer an extension in place as a part of a trade. This screams something Lou Lamoriello would pursue. Could the 20th overall pick and Simon Holmstrom get it done?
