Another NFL Draft has come and gone, and that means the Jets have finished up their selections. Lets take a deep-dive into every day 2-3 selection from the Jets 2024 draft class.
Wide receiver Malachi Corley

With the 65th overall pick in the 3rd round, the Jets selected Malachi Corley, “The YAC king.” Corley put up 3,033 yards in four seasons with the Hilltoppers, and 29 combined touchdowns. Corley gets comparisons to 49ers star WR Deebo Samuel, rightfully so, 5’11” 210 lbs, shifty WR. Drafting Corley takes some pressure off of star WR Garrett Wilson, and newly-acquired WR Mike Williams who has had an injury history. Many analysts and fans call him the “YAK king”, Corley has totaled up over 2,000 yards after catch in his career, and with how quick Rodgers gets rid of the ball, this move will be beneficial for Rodgers, along with the other WRs, while putting pressure on the defenders. I believe Rodgers will love Corley, and he’ll be like his new Randall Cobb esc target.
Runningback, Braelon Allen

Braelon Allen was not only an absolute homerun of a draft pick, but also a steal. At pick 134 in the fourth round, the New York Jets took Running-back Braelon Allen, and man this is an amazing pick. Allen put up a combined 3,494 yards, and 35 touchdowns in three seasons for the Badgers. Allen, 6’2” 245 lbs, and was recruited by many schools as a Linebacker, but transferred to Running back, and in his rookie year put up 1,268 yards and 12 touchdowns as a 17 year old in 2021. Allen brings a big-bodied RB with quick feet, and great vision. Braelon will be a great RB2 to Breece Hall.
Quarterback Jordan Travis

It was no secret the Jets were going to select a QB this draft. Jordan Travis, before his brutal ACL tear, was putting up Heisman Trophy numbers. Recording 2,756 yards, 20 TDs to 2 INTs, and rushing for 176 yards and 7 touchdowns. This is the man who will be the future of the New York Jets, and will be Aaron Rodgers’ successor.
