As we’ve all seen, the Jets did not sign Jadeveon Clowney. What route should the Jets go-for at edge?
Stay-put
The Jets have Jermaine Johnson, and Will McDonald. McDonald had 3 sacks in 0(!!) starts. Jermaine Johnson accounted for 7.5 sacks, 36 solo tackles, 19 asst, one forced-fumble and one pick-six. With how the Jets developed Bryce Huff, I am more than confident that they can develop Will McDonald. Also, many people are forgetting about John Franklin-Myers who had 3.5 sacks but can get to the QB, and would be a fine edge-rusher. Another idea: have Micheal Clemons come-off the edge.

Free-agency
Notable free-agent pass-rushers are
Calais Campbell
Jerry Hughes
Campbell had his most productive season since 2019 last season, going for 6.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 32 solo tackles. Interesting enough, the Jets has major interest in him last offseason.
Hughes, counted for 3.5 sacks, 9 AST, 32 COMB tackles. He was huge in the run game for the Texans. As previously mentioned, the Jets did show interest in Campbell last season, and they are willing to go after names who they previously had interest in (OBJ). I’d welcome Campbell with open arms.
Other news
It was speculated that at the NFL’s annual meeting reception, that Owner Woody Johnson and Head Coach Robert Saleh got into a verbal argument. Last night, Connor Hughes came on and cleared all of that up. Earlier today, Woody took to the platform “X” and stated this:

Also, it is reported that the Jets have the “doors open” if nobody will sign Free-agent WR Corey Davis. Davis, who spent 2021-21 has the WR1 in New York, accumulated 66 receptions, 1,028 yards, and 6 touchdowns, most notably the deep pass from Zach Wilson against his former team the Tennessee Titans.
