Well there it is. Another regular season come and gone, another Jets season has ended. This time, ends in a win against the New England Patriots for the first time since 2015. Lots of questions going into the offseason, and into next season about this team so let’s discuss about them.
Will the Jets extend Bryce Huff?
For what it’s worth…I (unfortunately) would not be shocked if Bryce huff is not back with the Jets next year and has crazy as that sounds, they did Draft Will McDonald with their first last year. Huff, an undrafted free agent, has only gotten significantly better since 2020, posting 10.5 sacks this year yet STILL with limited snaps. Huff stated that he will not take a hometown discount, says “he owes it to family, those close around him to take the biggest deal” which is very understandable. Jets General Manager Joe Douglas spoke to the media today, and talked about Huff. He says “Bryce isn’t the only free agent we want back.” Also states “Aren’t there yet” with considering using the franchise tag. All of that considered, I do not think he will be back. CJ Mosley, earlier was seen yelling “Bryce Huff — Stay Stay!” So it seems, fans and the team wants him back. Rightfully so.
Ah yes, the only decent part about being a Jets fan. Looking forward to the Draft. There are a few names at pick 10 that intrigues me, those being
Draft
Taliese Fuaga, OT Oregon
Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
Malik Nabers, WR LSU
JC Lanthem, RT Alabama
Joe Alt, LT ND
Any of these guys are for-sure-fire home-run picks. Heck even grand slam might I add. The plan should be to build the Offensive Line for Aaron Rodgers, or if you decide NOT to go OL, Malik Nabers would make this WR room significantly better. Or, take Brock bowers if he’s available. Some say he’s the greatest TE prospect EVER, and would instantly fit in with Rodgers. The Jets already have two good TE’s in Tyler Conklin, and Jeremy Ruckert who should get and have a bigger role next season.
