It’s no secret that the Yankees have been in need of some improvement for the left field spot, and they could be looking into Chicago Cubs OF Cody Bellinger.

Bellinger, 27, signed a prove it deal with the Cubs after struggling and dealing with injuries last year for the Dodgers, and so far that deal has been a very good one for both the Cubs and Bellinger.

Bellinger has definitely bounced back. And his roots go all the way back to Yankee Stadium when he was a kid, being the son of former Yankee Clay Bellinger, Cody would be a perfect fit for the Yankees right now. Giving them a LH bat with some good power, as well as an actual left fielder.

We know that there is essentially mutual interest, The New York Post reporting that the Yankees will be interested in the Cubs Outfielder come the trade deadline, Bellinger could elevate his offence even farther playing in the hitter friendly right field short porch in Yankee Stadium. He is a perfect fit for the Yankees come the deadline. Brian Cashman has a long history of making deals with Chicago especially in recent years, the Torres trade, Rizzo trade, and Effross trade just to name a few.
