Mets’ Add More Depth, Signing 1B/DH Luke Voit to a MiLB deal.

The New York Mets announced the signing of 1B/DH Luke Voit to a minor-league deal. Voit, 32, started the year with the Brewers but was designated for assignment after a rough start to the year putting up a 54 wRC+. He will report to the Mets’ Triple A Affiliate Syracuse Mets. Against RHP, Voit slashed .343/.439/.400 with a 140 wRC+. Voit will provide nice depth down in the minors with Alonso out.
