Mets Recall IF/DH Mark Vientos.

This has been longed awaited by Met fans, as Vientos has been a top hitter in Syracuse. Vientos was in the major leagues for a small amount of time last year, and

battled during spring training to make the MLB roster. He was close but the Mets’ decided that he would develop better in AAA. This was a great decision by the Mets Front Office. Let’s get to the stats:

Just like Baty, he forced the Mets hand. DH has been a hole for the Mets since it was put into the National League, but Vientos might be able to fill that need and give the offense a boost with power. With the likes of Tommy Pham, Daniel Vogelbach platooning, Id see him slot in everyday as he also destroys right-handed pitching. Luis Guillorme has been optioned to Syracuse, to fit Vientos.
