Buffalo Bills Mock Draft

As we get closer and closer to the 2023 NFL Draft which is in just 2 days in Kansas City, rumours run rampant, there are very few picks where any prospect is a lock to go. I’ll be making this mock draft with the latest rumours involved and fill the gaps of the roster the best I believe I can.

Will McDonald IV NFL Draft Scouting Report - Draft Network

Round 1: Pick 27: DE Will McDonald – Iowa State

Like Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane like to do, they go defense first in the first round, taking Will McDonald. At face value this pick may not make much sense, with Greg Rousseau and Von Miller already under contract, but with Von Miller likely missing time to start the season, McDonald is a day 1 starter. He has the tools and traits to be successful, and there is no such thing as having too many edge rushers.

Jack Campbell, LB, Iowa | NFL Draft Scouting Report

Round 2, Pick 59: LB Jack Campbell – Iowa

The pick in round 2 fills a huge need at linebacker, and Jack Campbell is the perfect fit for it. Though it’s very difficult to replace a pro-bowler in Tremaine Edmunds, Campbell is a prospect the Bills have been heavily linked to in recent weeks, and he’d be a great value pick at this spot.

Round 3: Pick 91: OT Matthew Bergeron- Syracuse

In the 3rd round, the Bills find themselves their right tackle of the future in Bergeron. Spencer Brown just hasn’t played up to the expectations he had when he was drafted a few years ago. and Bergeron could be a great plug and play player as he excels in the run game. Scouts describe him as an “aggressive” player, which is exactly the type of player you want protecting your franchise quarterback in Josh Allen.

Will Arizona Cardinals rely on DeAndre Hopkins too much after suspension? | NBC Sports

Projected Trade with ARI:

ARI Gets: 2023 6th Round Pick, 2024 4th Round Pick

BUF Gets: WR DeAndre Hopkins

The Bills and Cardinals make the move that has been rumoured for months at this point, the Bills bolster their offence once again by adding a big time weapon. If the Bills managed to run an offence with Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, DeAndre Hopkins, along with their solid run game, that’s an absolutely lethal combination. I think this trade happens at some point in the draft, Arizona’s price is almost guaranteed to drop. Especially if a team like Baltimore of Kansas City take a receiver.

Luke Schoonmaker - Football - University of Michigan Athletics

Round 4, Pick 130: TE Luke Schoonmaker – Michigan

Schoonmaker is a prospect the Bills have been connected to since the beginning of the draft process, he provides above average blocking as well as good receiving skills, as he can be a threat vertically. Though the Bills have Dawson Knox locked up long term, Schoonmaker could be a very good player to compliment him. Ironically, Schoonmaker’s pro comparison happens to be Dawson Knox, the Bills could use some better production from the TE2 spot, as they haven’t really gotten much from Quentin Morris.

Xavier Hutchinson - Football - Iowa State University Athletics

Round 5, Pick 137: WR Xavier Hutchinson – Iowa State

Reuniting with his teammate Will McDonald, Hutchinson would be a great fit for the Bills especially with Gabe Davis entering a contract year, Hutchinson could be utilized in the role that Davis was for the first few years of his career, and would round out the Bills receiving core that would be much improved.

The Draft is a great time of the year, and we’ll get to see how the Bills decide to fill their needs and continue to be a team with Super Bowl aspirations in 2023.
