The Yankees took 2 of 3 from the Cleveland Guardians including 2 comeback wins. Including yesterday in a weird circumstance, umpiring crew let Cleveland challenge a call after the time limit which changed the complexion of the game, but the Yankees managed to pull out the win.
The legend of Franchy Cordero continues, as he ties Aaron Judge for the team lead in home runs (4), and he also leads the team in RBIs. Cordero could be the 2023 version of Matt Carpenter, a player who’s acquired seemingly out of nowhere and immediately makes a huge offensive impact.
Twins Series Preview
The Yankees are back in the Bronx for 4 games against the Minnesota Twins, the Yankees have won 4 straight series to open the season, I don’t suspect they’ll continue this against Minnesota, 4 game series are obviously a lot harder to win, but it’s definitely not impossible.
