This was the Nets best defensive game of the season, only allowing 84 points, the least they’ve allowed all season. Even if they had lost they still would’ve clinched, but it is infinitely better to clinch on a win than someone else’s loss. They have just one more game left vs the 76ers on Easter. Who they will also face in the playoffs after the play-in games conclude.
Nic Claxton was stellar yesterday with 14 points in 34 minutes. More impressively he had 15 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block, he also had no personal fouls all game. He shot 6-9 from the field as well. It is a treat to get to watch Claxton play, he’s just so good.

Mikal Bridges was also good yesterday, scoring 22 points in 37 minutes. He had 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals to go along with that. He shot 9-24 from the field and 1-12 from three, which is pretty bad, but he shot 7-9 from the free throw line. The Nets will need him to get it together shooting wise if they want to have a chance to move on vs the 76ers. Sloppy shooting like that will not fly.

For once I am talking about Seth Curry positively, which is surprising. He had 13 points in 15 minutes. He had 1 rebound, 1 assist and a steal. He shot 4-6 from the field, 3-4 from 3, and was 2-2 from the free throw line. Great game off the bench for him, if he keeps it up it will help out a lot in the playoffs.
