The Yankees pitching, and bats came out to play today at the Stadium. Today’s game was their second shutout in the first three games of the season. How did they win? Well, Jhony Brito gave the Yanks a boost, throwing 5 shutout innings of baseball in his MLB debut. Aaron Judge started the scoring today, lining a homer into the left field seats, his second homer in 3 games. After a Rizzo single, Giancarlo Stanton demolished a baseball, and 485 feet later, it was 3-0 Yanks. Kyle Higashioka would make it 4-0 Yankees on a homer to left, Anthony Rizzo would score Anthony Volpe on a sac fly, and Gleyber Torres would come around to score on a wild pitch.

Many Yankees were impressed with Jhony Brito. “He looked great.” Giancarlo Stanton said about Brito’s performance, also adding that he was happy for Brito, and he pitched so well he made hitters frustrated. Today was a game where the Yankees controlled everything and didn’t let San Fran get anything going. Yankee pitching held them hitless with runners in scoring position. The offense outscored the Giants this series, 16-7. They will take on the Phillies tomorrow at 7 PM, with Nestor Cortes making his season debut.
