The Knicks stormed into a potential first round playoff matchup against Cleveland without Julius Randle, and they beat the Cavs big. Jalen Brunson had a career high 48 points, and the Knicks cruised to a win.

Quentin Grimes when players like Brunson or Randle go down, he’s stepped up in a big way. Finding offensive consistency while being one of the best defenders on the team. He brings a lot of value to the backcourt alongside Jalen Brunson.

The Knicks will have to navigate being without Julius Randle for at least the rest of the regular season. He’ll be reevaluated in about two weeks, just two days before Game 1 of the playoffs.

Potential First Round Preview?
The Knicks and Cavs are pretty close to locked in as a first round matchup, the Cavs the 4 seed and the Knicks the 5 respectively. If the Knicks are able to keep Cleveland this close (without Julius Randle) we’ll be in a good spot headed into the Playoffs. And an even better one if Randle comes back.
