Nets Rise Over Rockets, 123-114

The Nets offense was firing on all cylinders, scoring 30 or more points in three of four quarters. They struggled in the second but bounced back in the second half, scoring 69 points in that half. Cam Johnson, Mikal Bridges, and Nic Claxton lead the way scoring wise, with 76 points combined.

Cam Johnson and Mikal Bridges shone bright like stars. Cam Johnson scored 31 points in 36 minutes, with 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 block and 1 steal. He shot 11-18 from the field, 5-9 from three, and 4-4 from the free throw line. Mikal Bridges scored 27 points in 40 minutes, with 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1 block. He shot 8-17 from the field, 4-6 from three, and 7-8 from the free throw line.

Claxton had another double double, which is just an everyday occurrence at this point. He had 18 points in 35 minutes, with 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 3 blocks. He shot 8-10 from the field, and 2-4 from the free throw line.

There weren’t many things that went wrong today. Though, I will talk about Seth Curry, who returned after missing the last few games due to injury. He got 13 minutes, and did nothing. He scored 3 points, had no rebounds, no assists, Seth Curry should not be getting more minutes than Day’Ron Sharpe, Yuta Watanabe, Edmond Sumner, Joe Harris and Cam Thomas, but he did, somehow.

The Nets pad their lead over the Heat, with it now being 1.5 games. The Nets will be back in action tonight at 7:30 vs the Atlanta Hawks. The Nets will be missing Ben Simmons, and potentially Day’Ron Sharpe. The Hawks will potentially be missing Jalen Johnson, and DeAndre Hunter.
