The Knicks lose a close game to the Magic last night on a lot of inconsistently from Julius Randle. Playing without Jalen Brunson, the Knicks almost pulled this game out on the road and on the 2nd leg of a back-to-back.

Quentin Grimes stepped up yesterday, having 25 points including 5 3-pointers. While simultaneously being arguably the Knicks best defender, he’s also been starting to gain more consistency offensively. Which only makes him in the starting lineup more impactful.

At this stage in the season, yeah everyone wants to see Jalen Brunson, but his health is more important. Dealing with a multitude of injuries, it’s more important that he is fully healthy for the playoffs. The Knicks don’t play again until Monday back at home against the Victor Wembanyama-hopeful Houston Rockets, plenty of time for Brunson to get a rest. And the rest of the team for that matter.
