The Isles absolutely decimated the Toronto Maple Leafs last night. Cal Clutterbuck had two goals, Clutterbuck making his presence in the Isles lineup clear as he missed some time with injury. However, the Isles have seemingly the younger version of him. Hudson Fasching, who also had a goal yesterday on a snipe of Ilya Samsonov.
Critical Injury?
F Brock Nelson exited early with an injury. A critical blow to the Islanders offence (or so it seemed) Isles went on to rally in a blowout win, but Nelson possibly missing time at this point in the season isn’t what you wanna see. We still don’t have any clarifications on his injury but likely will soon.
Wild Card Race Update
At this stage in the season, everyone is watching the score boards. The Isles assume control of the top spot over Florida and Pittsburgh, but they have to maintain it. The Isles need to try and take difficult games from teams like New Jersey, Tampa Bay, and Carolina.
