The Rangers got another win, this time beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2. Here’s how it all went down. Almost 3 minutes in, Mika Zibanejad got a break opportunity from Panarin, and cashed in to make it 1-0 Rangers and score his 35th goal of the season. In the second period, Rickard Rakell scored to tie it up, but Tyler Motte answered back just 2:13 later to give the Rangers the lead back. Nine minutes into the third, Jake Guentzel scored his 30th of the season to tie things at two. After that, the Rangers wouldn’t look back, as Chris Kreider scored his 29th and 30th goals of the year and the Rangers would go on to win by two.

Igor Shesterkin was magnificent once again tonight, and it looks like he’s beginning to find a groove in the crease. Igor improved to 31-11-7 tonight with a win. He’s now 6-1-0 in his last 7 games, and has a .916 SV% in that span. Look for Shesterkin to start again on Saturday against Pittsburgh again. Game will be on ABC at 8 PM EST.
⭐️: Chris Kreider, 2 goals, GWG
⭐️⭐️: Igor Shesterkin, 30 saves, .938 SV%
⭐️⭐️⭐️: Tyler Motte, 1 goal
My personal ⭐️: Mika Zibanejad. Mika tonight potted his 35th goal of the year, had an assist, and was a +1 on the stat sheet. His line was great in this game, and he was the catalyst to creating some nice scoring chances for his linemates.
