Yankees Prospects Impressing This Spring

The Yankees prospects are showing out this spring. The likes of Anthony Volpe, Jasson Domínguez, Andrés Chaparro among others.

Volpe came into this spring with huge expectations, as he’s in the midst of a shortstop battle with fellow top prospect Oswald Peraza, and the incumbent Isiah Kiner-Falefa. Volpe has shown off all of his tools and he’s making the Yankees decision on the starting shortstop very difficult on them. If Volpe plays himself onto the roster, the Yankees’ level of faith in him must be very high

Jasson Domínguez came into this spring with high expectations as well. The former top international prospect signed with the Yankees as a 16 year old dubbed “The Martian” but has since proven that he is the real deal. Tied for the lead in Home Runs this spring with 4, Domínguez has shown his great potential and tools this spring. He has some good power with great on base skills, he’s a plus fielder and a great baserunner, and he legitimately could play himself to the Bronx before seasons end.

Andrés Chaparro is one of the more underrated pieces in the Yankees farm system, Chaparro has one of the best power tools in all of the minor leagues, and had a great season for Double-A Somerset last year and could start this season at Triple-A, and could see major league time. Chaparro might not be a top prospect but he has some good potential and a really bright future.
