Blueshirts Deliver a Broadway Hit, Win 2-1

Bread in the basket, Sabres in the casket. This game was a very hard fought, gritty game from both sides. It started off in the second period, when Tage Thompson made a good rush and dumped it off to Ilya Lyubushkin, who made a sweet one timer feed to Jeff Skinner to make it 1-0. Less than four minutes, Patrick Kane tied it up 1-1 on a goal deflected in by a Sabre. Kane has really come into his own these past two games. The third period was an empty period, but that doesn’t take away from Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Igor Shesterkin making big saves after big saves. In overtime, the Rangers hopped on a Power Play. Adam Fox took a wrister, it was blocked but deflected to Artemi Panarin, who got the game winner. The Rangers won 2-1.

Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin have really been huge for the Rangers these past two games. Panarin had 3 points last game in Montreal, and the game winner tonight in Buffalo. Kane had two points, (1 G, 1 A) and a goal tonight. Even though his defense isn’t great, he has been very strong on offense.

⭐️: Igor Shesterkin, 32 saves, .970 SV%

⭐️⭐️: Artemi Panarin, GWG

⭐️⭐️⭐️: Jeff Skinner, 1 goal

My personal ⭐️: Patrick Kane. Played very strong. Scored a crucial goal, created many chances and was on ice for both Ranger goals.
