In a tight WC race, Isles drop a game.
The Islanders lose in Montreal 4-3, in overtime. Though the goal had some angles that showed that the Montreal player was offsides, but I digress. The Islanders should’ve won this game, too many players played poor games for this team to lose like this. In a tight race with mainly Washington, and Pittsburgh, the Islanders sit tied with Washington at 60 points.

Bo Knows
Bo Horvat scored another goal today, marking his 3rd with the Isles in such a small amount of games. He’s made such a big impact and I think he will continue to do so for a long time. He has a lot of chemistry with F Mat Barzal in such a short time and it shows.

Romanov’s Return
Alex Romanov made his return to Montreal, in which he spent two years. He played a very steady game today, including the game-tying assist to F Matt Martin in the 3rd period. A performance definitely to build on for Romanov.

Lambert Has no Answers
Isles HC Lane Lambert time and time again this season has proven he shouldn’t be this teams Head Coach for the long haul, the recent benching of Defenceman Sam Bolduc is an example, continuing to play an aging and declining Josh Bailey on the top line is unacceptable for a team with playoff aspirations. Firing Barry Trotz was a very big mistake. The Islanders need a head coach who knows how to play his players and can get this team to the playoffs.
